Purchasing & selection criteria

Blueberries should be firm, dry, plump and smooth skinned; free of leaves and stems; with a silvery “bloom”- a silvery powder on the outside - on the blueberries.

Size is not a sign of maturity, but color is – berries should be deep purple-blue to blue-back; reddish berries are not ripe.

Avoid soft or shriveled berries and any signs of mold.

Also available dried, canned, and frozen.
